Cardano Constitution to Replace the Interim Constitution
This Cardano Constitution is proposed to replace the Interim Constitution. The Cardano Constitution is the result of extensive Cardano community consultation throughout 2024. The Interim Constitution was intended to be temporary, and its Appendix II: Ratification of Final Constitution required its replacement to be submitted on-chain no later than January 31, 2025.

What this asks for, and from whom
Adopting the Cardano Constitution to replace the Interim Constitution, the product of extensive community consultation through 2024, as required by the Interim Constitution's own ratification appendix.
What would have to be true for this to be a good use of treasury funds
No funds involved. This is the foundational document. It needed to exist, it needed to come from community consultation rather than being handed down, and the interim version was always meant to be temporary.
What specifically concerns me
I have said openly that decentralized governance came to Cardano before this ecosystem was ready to carry it, and adopting a constitution does not by itself make people ready. A document is only as good as the willingness to abide by it when it becomes inconvenient.
What I am asking of the proposer if this passes
It was enacted. Hold the Constitutional Committee to publishing its reasoning, every time. A constitution enforced in private is a constitution nobody can trust.
