What this asks for, and from whom
Adopting the Cardano Blockchain Ecosystem Constitution v2.0, with wording improvements, new defined terms, simplified Article II, and removal of the Budget Info Action requirement for treasury withdrawals.
What would have to be true for this to be a good use of treasury funds
No funds involved. The question is whether the changes make governance clearer and more workable without weakening protection of the treasury.
What specifically concerns me
Removing the Budget Info Action requirement for treasury withdrawals is a genuine loosening, and I want to be honest that it cuts against my instinct for more friction on spending rather than less. What tipped me toward yes was that the two-step structure had produced confusion and duplicated votes without adding much real scrutiny. Clarity in the founding document has its own value.
What I am asking of the proposer if this passes
It was dropped. If constitutional revisions return: change one thing at a time where possible. Bundling wording cleanups with substantive removals of spending checks makes it impossible to support the first without accepting the second.
