Reasoning

Written after the vote was cast

What this asks for, and from whom

11,070,323 ADA for Tweag's proposals across multiple core infrastructure work packages.

What would have to be true for this to be a good use of treasury funds

Tweag are genuine core engineers doing protocol-level work that no private capital will ever fund, because there is no product to sell at the end of it.

What specifically concerns me

This was part of the 2025 Intersect budget slate, which I voted as a slate. I am saying that plainly rather than pretending each line got its own week of deliberation. The slate came through a community budget process with a support threshold before it ever reached the chain, and my judgment was that the process outcome deserved backing in Cardano's first real treasury cycle. Worth recording the full arc, because it shows how I actually treat repeat proposers: yes here at 11 million, no at epoch 631 when the ask jumped to 39.8 million across three years, then yes again at epoch 637 when it came back at 18.3 million. Same team, three different answers, driven entirely by whether the size fit the work and the treasury.

What I am asking of the proposer if this passes

It was enacted. Keep asks annual and proportionate, and keep shipping measurable protocol improvements. That pattern earns renewals from me indefinitely.
